Advanced Robotics Challenges

We’ll challenge your engineering and programming skills with the LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT robot. Want to learn how to program a robot with a bluetooth cell phone? Build a walking bot? Use the new ultrasonic sensor to react to movement or the sound sensor to react to different sounds? Program the new servo motors for precise movement? The possibilities and challenges are endless.

You can work on individual challenges, challenge others, or pair up and work as a team. This course is for students who have experience with building and programming LEGO® Mindstorms® robots. Students should have a basic understanding of how to use sensors, motors and repeat blocks.

This class provides new challenges each session and can be taken multiple times. All robot classes will be taught with the LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT robot. The new robot system includes a new programming language, a new building system, and new sensors, including a sound sensor and ultrasonic sensor.
